Sensory issues are an integral part of Autism, and I've noticed how Autism evolves as my kids grow. It's fascinating how a simple cold can sometimes set off their sensory system. Just the other day, Ethan was starting to catch a cold, and it activated his sensory responses. Thankfully, headphones are a fantastic aid when he finds himself in echoey buildings. It's important to remember that having the sensory system triggered can be quite exhausting for the person experiencing it.

The next day, he was soaring in a wind flying tunnel, pushing his sensory system to the limit, and absolutely loving every moment! Autism Awareness 2025
